Requirements To Become A High School Soccer Official  -  Kentucky High School Athletic Association

First Time Licensing Requirements and Qualifications

Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school and be at least eighteen years of age, unless participating in an approved mentor program approved by the Commissioner.

Licensing fee must accompany application form. Fee will not be returned if applicant does not meet requirements.  Applicant must receive a passing grade of at least 70% on the Part I Examination in each of the sports in which the applicant is licensing.

To become an official, you'll need to fill out an application, KHSAA APPLICATION pay a registration fee (currently $40.00), and take an open-book rules test. Once you are registered, you'll need to attend annual rules meeting that will introduce you to the latest rule changes and interpretations and become an active member of a local officials' association.
